NORWICH RFC Equity Policy statement
- This club is committed to ensuring that equity is incorporated across all aspects of its development. In doing so it acknowledges and adopts the following Sport England definition of sports equity:
Sports equity is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognising inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structure of sport to ensure it becomes equally accessible to everyone in society.
- The club respects the rights, dignity and worth of every person and will treat everyone equally within the context of their sport, regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious belief, sexuality or social/economic status.
- The club is committed to everyone having the right to enjoy their sport in an environment free from threat of intimidation, harassment and abuse.
- All club members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory behaviour and promote equality of opportunity.
- The club will deal with any incidence of discriminatory behaviour seriously, according to club disciplinary procedures.
- We will protect the rights and development needs of the individual whilst balancing this with the needs of the group as a whole.
NORWICH RFC POLICY STATEMENT RELATING TO THE USE OF VIDEO/PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES
Norwich RFC recognises the need to ensure the welfare of all young people in rugby union. As part of our commitment to ensure the safety of young people we will not permit photographs, video or other images of young people to be taken or used without the consent of the parents/carers and the young person.
Norwich RFC will follow the RFU guidelines for the use of images of young people.
Norwich RFC will take all reasonable steps to ensure that these images are used solely for the purposes they are intended which is the promotion and celebration ofthe activity of rugby union
If you become aware that these images are being used inappropriately you should inform the club Child Protection Officer whose details can be found on the club notice board.
The images may be published on the club website www.lionrugby.com
If at any time either the parent/carer or the young person wishes the data to be removed from the website, the Child Protection Officer and the Press Liaison/website Officer should be informed.
