THE 'CAPTAIN'S CUP' MATCH
Saturday 29th December was the occasion of the inaugural 'Captain's Cup' game at the club played between, supposedly a Norwich Under 23 side Captained by Guy Tennant and an Over 23 side Captained by Paul Micklethwaite. The event was the inspiration of Coach Stewart Cameron, well done to him.
As insufficient Under 23's were available, the age banding was loosely applied and the likes of Dave Mick, Matt Selby, Theo Elliott and Archie Vickers switched sides along with Veteran Mark Walton to provide a front row.
The 'Unders' won in a fun game played in great spirit and enjoyed by the crowd. Thanks to 17 year old referee Elliott Nash who took charge of the rabble. It was a useful run out for some first team players and great to see JC Brown playing the day before he flew home to Australia. Thank you to everyone that turned out an made it such a great game.
No expense spared with the cup!
MORE INTERNATIONAL MATCHES
It came as a surprise, including to Steve Henson, that there are 4 international matches to be played by England a month before the World Cup in Japan. Ticket prices are on the application form on our downloads page. Click here
