HARPENDEN GAME CANCELLED- AXV THE ONLY SHOW IN TOWN
The 1st XV RFU Intermediate Cup game on Saturday has been cancelled. Harpenden cited injury problems.
The Lions play a friendly on Friday evening at Lakenham Hewitt leaving the AXV as the only show in town on Saturday. They face Holt 2's in the Norfolk Junior Cup at home KO 14:00. Holt currently sit undefeated at the top of the table whilst the AXV sit one above the bottom having found the going tough in this league following their promotion last season.
Please come and lend some support to the AXV
PLEASE SUPPORT THE LION CUBS FUNDING APPLICATION - A VOTE IS ALL THAT'S NEEDED.
Emma Allan is applying for funding from the Aviva Community fund for Lion Cubs training kit which they are a bit short of. She needs your support please, all you need to do is vote for them on the link below. Text from Emma reads:
"Please have a look at the link below. This is the AVIVA COMMUNITY FUND application that Alan Boswells and myself submitted recently for my children’s local Rugby Club, Norwich Rugby Club . If you haven’t heard about it is a Rugby training club that brings communities get together for Sunday morning training. It is great for the children’s physical health but also it arms them with valuable social skills for life. It is solely run by volunteers and parents. We are just a little short of funds at the moment and want to help the Lion Cubs (our little 3-6 years olds) with kit and equipment."
Editorial Note: You will need to register on the Aviva Community Fund page before you can vote. My advice is to just type 'rugby' in the search engine to find the project as I found 'Norwich Rugby Club' brought up no results, oddly.
NEW TREASURER SOUGHT
Dear Members, the Committee has been given notice that our current Treasurer will be stepping down from her role at the AGM in June 2019.
As I am sure you will appreciate this is a key position on the Clubs committee which is integral to the Clubs ongoing governance, management and success.
I am sure that within our loyal membership there is someone out there, ideally with Accountancy and/or bookkeeping and sound organisational skills ,who would be interested in taking over this key position.
Please do come forward and let me , Andy Pott , Helen Pott or indeed any member of the committee know of your interest. Your Club needs you.
